Her own childhood experiences have also shaped her into a legal professional who understands how cultural expectations can distort or force traumatic experiences upon individuals. Jobe’s ability to relate to a dysfunctional family dynamic, and the emotional toil it bears, fuels Jobe even more in her life’s work.

Conversational in Cantonese and well-versed with Chinese traditions, Jobe’s clients are reassured and spared the difficulty of revisiting painful experiences in explaining cultural obligations.

Having worked in a corporate legal setting and within the non-profit sector,  Jobe has found family law gives her the opportunity to make an impact of greater significance, as it offers many families flexibility to determine their unique priorities and agree on their own terms quickly.To Jobe, giving people hope and clarity for the future is the most meaningful part of her advocacy work. It’s the reason she feels called to family law and is so dedicated to empowering families and individuals holistically, with genuine compassion and true grace.
